What Is Freedom of Religion?

What is freedom of religion?

It may sound like a simple question. But few can agree on what religious freedom is, what it permits, or whether it is a good thing.

Stephen F. Crockett of St. John’s College guides you through the Constitution’s First Amendment and what it means to today’s fierce debates on freedom of religion.

Crockett, a tutor at St. John’s College of Annapolis, holds a law degree from Yale and a graduate degree in humanities from the University of Chicago. He previously served as an attorney for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Recorded April 13, 2019, at ISI’s Second Annual Maryland Symposium.
